Deaf Counseling Center Claimed

Counseling Done Differently

You may have come here because something is not working in your life and you want it better or because you want more from life. We come with 35 years of experience as psychotherapists, our many more years of life experience, our mind, good heart and our intention to heal. You come with your issues, your past, perhaps with your anxiety, depression, or guilt. You also come with your strengths, some of which you might not recognize, and upon which we will build. We believe we are equal as humans, just sitting different chairs. We look forward to working with you.
Each person who comes to therapy is unique. Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, we utilize treatment techniques rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), existential therapy and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). We tailor therapy to our clients’ needs. In particular, we emphasize Deaf-centered, feminist and gender-sensitive frameworks.
We do therapy with Deaf clients or people who sign on a national basis. We offer counseling in person or via videophone.
