Greetings Lightbeams! My name is Lacrisha Holcomb and I am a provisionally licensed Addictions Specialist (LCASA) and Mental Health professional. It is my mission to empower the individuals I work with to heal and grow into the highest, best version of themselves by tapping into their inner light, passions, and purpose.
In my 5 years of experience as a professional in the mental health/substance abuse fields, I have a plethora of rich cultural experiences working with numerous specific populations from children to older adults. I have been a Residential Counselor in an adolescent group home, a Graduate Intern for various children, teen, and substance use clinics in the Duke University Health System, a Family Intervention Specialist working with youth involved in the juvenile delinquency system, and my current role as an Addictions Specialist in an adult addictions treatment clinic.
I am the Founder of “Therapy Is Light,” a movement and mental health awareness brand that includes apparel, mental health publications, and community speaking engagements to promote mental health awareness in underserved communities, specifically Black and minority communities.
I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialized in Addictions Counseling. In addition to working with addictions and dual diagnosis populations, I also offer Mental Wellness Coaching Services for people desiring emotional support, education, consultation, collaboration, and resources to assist in creating their best life from a trained helping professional. My official website is currently under construction but you can learn more about my work by visiting my social media accounts or asking specific questions via email! Thank you for your time and I hope to have the opportunity to be a partner in your glow up! Keep shining!
