Systemic racism and microaggressions are forms of trauma that disproportionately affect BIPOC women. Women are at least twice as likely to experience an episode of major depression as men. BIPOC women are less likely to seek help due to stigmas and a lack of culturally-competent care. Start Within Coaching supports BIPOC women to heal from individual and collective trauma. We have set an intention to disrupt the myth of the “Strong Black Woman,” who is supposed to be strong for everyone but herself. To guide you on your path to freedom from exhaustion, we offer individual and group services focused on self-care, mindfulness, and resilience.

Colette Ellis is a mental health advocate for BIPOC women, a certified Stress Management coach, and a practitioner of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT-Tapping). She recognizes the negative impact of microaggressions. She creates safe spaces for authentic healing. She supports you to reclaim your self-worth and know that your mental health matters.

The next steps would be to book a discovery call to see if it’s the right fit for us to work together.
