I have experience working with a diverse range of clients and topics, and specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. I have supported clients through challenges with body image, binge eating, substance use, sexual assault, child abuse, generalized anxiety, and chronic depression. I also recognize that for many these issues are embedded in lived experiences related to identity, marginalization, and trauma and believe it can be important, if not vital, to discuss how these forces influence your wellness. Providing an affirming space for you to be both safe and courageous is the first step to any successful therapeutic relationship.
I invite clients to consider the many factors that influence your emotional wellness in order to deepen self-awareness and achieve your treatment goals. I integrate a number of treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed and attachment-based therapies.
I have a diverse background including psychotherapy, career and educational counseling, health education, and health coaching. I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher and have been providing group and private instruction as well as mindfulness and self-care workshops since 2013.
