Monica is a psychotherapist and the Founder of Joie de Vivre Counseling and Therapy. Monica specializes in helping clients navigate issues related to identity, intimacy, finding meaning and living authentically in the face of internal and external pressures. Using this framework, Monica helps clients address life difficulties and stressors. She is collaborative and primarily uses a relational (Psychodynamic) approach that incorporates Mindfulness, Feminist, Holistic and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) techniques. Monica’s research and writing focuses on mental health and resilience in women, couples, relationships, and multicultural psychology.
