I’m a doctoral-level clinical social worker, with 10 years of experience as a trauma therapist. I’ve spent the better part of the past decade providing compassionate care for people who have experienced combat or sexual trauma. My approach is largely trauma- and mindfulness-informed. I also have a decade of experience in Cognitive Processing Therapy, for trauma, and a host of other skills such as anger management, and various types of coping skills. We can also focus on co-dependency, and ways that this may have affected your relationships, past and present.
Most of all, I will provide a safe environment to explore issues related to racial identity. Your experiences as a person of color are valid. We can discuss ways that your experiences as a person of color have affected, and still effect, your life.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where you will comfortable enough to determine what you need, but while you also learn how to do the work to grow. I really want you to learn the skills that you need so that you will be able to confidently take on life on your own.
