I grew up as a preacher’s kid and learned the hard way everything can’t be solved by prayer. My interest in psychology grew as I got older and was fascinated by why people behaved in certain ways. As a result, I realized there’s more work involved in the health process and therapy is often the missing piece. My faith and experience as a licensed clinical social worker makes space for those who want to share their faith as a part of the process of healing and asking for help. In the midst of sadness or even growth, I am here to help you and walk with you through changes, good and bad. As a Black therapist, I know the importance of understanding race and culture and want you to focus on your needs, not taking time away to explain our history or microaggressions we experience on a daily basis. I have over 20 years of counseling experience and a heart for those who feel lost, hurt, and let down. I believe the opportunity to start over begins each day with faith, hope, and love and I specialize in working with women of all ages who have never experienced therapy as a tool for change.
