About
Systemic racism and microaggressions are forms of trauma that disproportionately affect BIPOC women. Women are at least twice as likely to experience an episode of major depression as men. BIPOC women are less likely to seek help due to stigmas and a lack of culturally-competent care. Coach Colette supports BIPOC women to heal from individual and collective trauma. She has set an intention to disrupt the myth of the “Strong Black Woman,” who is supposed to be strong for everyone but herself. To guide you on your path to freedom from exhaustion, she offers individual and group services focused on self-care, mindfulness, and resilience.
Colette Ellis is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for Black and Latinx communities. With over 15 years of experience, her commitment to mental health equity is rooted in her certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Trauma-Informed Care, and her training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT-Tapping).
The next steps would be to book a discovery call to see if it’s the right fit for us to work together.
