About
Most people aren’t aware that they’re constantly telling themselves stories through their inner chatter. Unfortunately, a lot of self-talk can be negative, nagging, and degrading to our self-worth. I work with clients who experience feelings of sadness, anxiety, loneliness, grief, stress, and fear to name a few. And experience thoughts like “I’m not good enough” and “I don’t deserve ___.” On some level, we believe these thoughts and they impact our day to day self and how we show up in the world.
I also believe in dismantling cultural stereotypes surrounding Black women, their bodies and their experiences in America. I’m an avid reader and supporter of Patricia Hill-Collins for this reason and her work around race, class, and gender.
