About

Therapy has not always been a safe place for marginalized populations or non-traditional couple and family structures. I provide a space where clients are able to be their full selves without the cloak of respectability or utilizing ideologies and practices that are exclusive to many identities. While we are all unlearning harmful and unhelpful ways of experiencing the world, I strive to offer a space of safety for all who enter my space.

I specialize in inter-generational family communication, intercultural and interfaith relationships, same-gender couple issues, and minority stress and trauma relating to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability.

I received my Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia where I also specialized in Disability Studies.
